The Bentley Arnage T laid claim to the title of the world's fastest saloon car in 2002, needing to use all but the last two spots on its 170mph speedometer. Powered by the 6.75 litre Rolls-Royce V8 engine which had been treated to what Bentley described as 'the most thorough re-engineering of its life', the Arnage produced a substantial 450bhp and an amazing 645lbs/ft of torque, in no small part accredited to the twin-Garratt T3 turbochargers (in place of the previous single T4), an improved cylinder head gasket design and Bosch Motronic management system. Other developments included a 'drive-by-wire' throttle to go hand-in-hand with a new electronic stability program and revised suspension. It featured a roll stiffness 57% greater than the Red Label, giving the nearly three-ton car immense poise and when coupled with a structure that was 10% stiffer than the Red Label, this luxury cruiser was transformed into a mile crunching supercar rival, propelling the driver to 60mph in just 5.5 seconds in cushioned luxury.

Dating from 2003, this Arnage T is stylishly presented in Tungsten Grey Metallic with Beluga Black, diamond-quilted leather upholstery adorned with silver ‘Winged-B’ motifs, dark wood veneers and engine-turned aluminium inserts to the dashboard and door cappings. Originally supplied by Bentley Manchester, this majestic saloon has patently been cherished regardless of cost with the overall condition reflecting the care and attention that has been lavished upon it confirmed by its comprehensive service record containing 17 main dealer stamps over its 21 years. It has covered a warranted 58,000 miles, a perfect figure for a car like this as the Arnage T is essentially a high performance saloon as opposed to a sedate limousine and they are happiest when they are regularly extended.

The most recent service was with Bentley Manchester at 58,508 miles, not long ago but our fastidious vendor owner decided to present it for a dealer health check (fault/recommendation free) prior to sale to ensure that everything meets his exacting standards. The car will be accompanied by its V5C Registration Document, dealer book pack, correspondence/paperwork, maintenance/service invoices and its current MOT valid until July 2025.

With a new list price of some £160,000, this car today represents incredible value for money at this mileage and is a rare opportunity to buy one of the last 'proper' Bentleys. Little can compare to a Bentley when it comes to fit and finish and we strongly advise and welcome your early inspection to fully appreciate the opportunity on offer.
