Drophead Derby

1935 3 ½ litre Derby Bentley. Chassis No B 195 EJ Engine No L6BT. Registration No UN 9028.

First supplied to Alfred McAlpine of Rossett in Denbighshire in November 1935, by W.Watson & Co of Liverpool through the Wrexham Motor Company. Fitted with a standard Park Ward four door body no C957, being finished in green with a fawn interior. Amongst the extras were: a Bentley Mascot; 2 Suitcases; foglamps; Philo radio set and coloured wheels. On display at the 1935 Olympia Motor Show.

1940 Acquired by Major Daniel Sykes of London
1941 Acquired by Mr C.Laughton of London
1946 Acquired by Dr G Cowan of Wimpole St, London
1949 it was first registered with the Bentley Drivers Club, owned by W.Morgan of
Rugby. He sold it in 1955 .
1958 Acquired by Mr N F Muirfield of Kent, from Lockharts Garage, Dunstable. At
this point the car had an Estate body
1959 Acquired by Max Ellens of Truro
1972 Owned by Margulies Ltd
1973 owned by DWW Pound of Kidderminster. His was registered with a tourer
body and sold in 1976. Next BDC reference is in
1987 when owned by Mr Lombard in Switzerland.
2011 listed by Real Car Co.
2011 Purchased by current owner’s father.
